Lucy

Hello my name is Lucy, my mother is a Shih Tzu and my father is a Maltese, which makes me a Shih Malt. My birthday is April 15, 2018. When I grow up I want to be  6-8 lbs full grown. I love to snuggle and cuddle with people. I am current on my vaccinations and am looking for my new forever family.

Health Guarantee

Purchase Agreement/Health Guarantee

We guarantee our puppies to be in good health to the best of our knowledge. All shots and wormer will be up to date and puppies will be free from obvious defects at the time of delivery.

A deposit of $200 will hold the puppy of your choice until your puppy is ready. Deposits are non-refundable but are applied to the purchase price.

Puppies may be severely stressed by the change in their environment. Minor problems such as diarrhea, coccidiosis, wormy stool, etc., may occur and must be treated. These conditions are the responsibility of you, the buyer, and should be checked by a veterinarian.

Minor health problems that can be cured by medication or surgery are not covered by our guarantee.

Deposits will not be refunded unless illness or death of your puppy occurs before pickup.

Buyer’s Responsibilities

Have your puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 48 hours of delivery. We must be informed immediately of the examination’s result by e-mail or by telephone. Failure to complete this crucial step will terminate the health guarantee on your puppy. This guarantee will then be null and void.

Be sure to provide your puppy with routine preventive care, such as, but not limited to:
o Annual physical examinations by a licensed veterinarian.
o Follow veterinarian guidelines for vaccinations and deworming.

Health Guarantee
Your puppy is guaranteed until one year of age against fatal and life altering congenital diseases which adversely affect the health of the animal. This includes severe hip dysplasia, which hampers a dog’s movement and natural gait and requires surgery to correct; kidney, heart, pancreas, spine, and liver problems of a severe life threatening or altering nature. If the dog dies within this one year time frame, you must pay to have it autopsied to ascertain reason of death. If reason is congenital, we will replace the puppy.

All items covered under this guarantee are by replacement only. We do not give refunds.

A puppy showing any serious genetic or congenital defect will be replaced as follows:

o Puppy must show the defect by one year of age. We must be notified of the problem within 5 business days of the licensed veterinarian’s determination and have a report from another unassociated veterinarian stating the same problem. We will then provide a replacement puppy of equivalent value. We must have there determinations in writing (2 letters) on their letterhead.
o A puppy with a defect must be returned to us in good condition, other than the specified problem or euthanized with our permission at your expense to qualify for a replacement puppy.
No replacement puppy will be given if your puppy has been bred in this first year or euthanized without our permission.

The replacement puppy will be mutually agreed upon by both parties and will be of comparable quality. It is understood that the replacement puppy may not be from the exact same parents as the original puppy.

You are responsible for transportation costs to and from us on a replacement puppy.

This guarantee is nontransferable to a second party.

We will not be held responsible for any medical expenses incurred. You, as the buyer, are fully aware that owning a puppy means trips to the veterinarian and understand that you will be responsible for all payments.

This guarantee does not cover Coccidia and Kennel Cough, which are common in puppies that are shipped and is usually caused by bacteria. Kennel Cough is self-limiting and, like the common cold, must run its course (however your puppy will have been immunized for Kennel Cough so that should reduce it's likelihood). Full recovery is expected and Kennel Cough, on its own, is not life threatening.

There are certain disorders that may be caused by environmental factors, such as but not limited to: allergies, thyroid dysfunction, demodectic mange, cancer, tumors, growths, scabies, mite related illness and other autoimmune disorders which are not covered by this guarantee.
Any physical problem which is or could be the result of injury is not covered under this guarantee.

There is no guarantee that you will be able to show or breed your puppy regardless of show or breeding potential.

Shipping/Delivery
Local pickup of your puppy is encouraged as shipping can be hard on a puppy. We will, on a case by case basis, arrange to meet at a half-way point in a private vehicle for delivery of your puppy. There is an additional charge for this service unless otherwise agreed upon. Charge is dependant upon miles traveled.

Should you choose to have your puppy shipped, shipping costs are non-refundable. Shipping includes pet taxi, health certificate, airline ticket, and delivery to the airport. You must be able to pick the puppy up immediately upon arrival or the health guarantee is null and void.

Your puppy will be transported as soon as possible after you complete the purchase. Puppies that are sold before 8 weeks of age will not be transported until they are 8 weeks old.

If the airlines will not allow shipping due to weather, then a refund of the amount collected for shipping will be given back to you and you will then be responsible for making arrangements to receive your puppy.
